August was a very busy month for me and my precious mother, my traveling buddy. We had just returned back home on Sunday evening, August 30th, after a wonderful time in Memphis, Tennessee at The Orpheum Theater and at the Southern Magnolia Gift Shop in Jackson, Tennessee. The next day I took my husband, Frank, to a doctor's appointment as he'd been running fever for almost two weeks. When we arrived back home, my mother met us at the door and looked very pale and couldn't catch her breath. After Frank took her blood pressure and had her chew an aspirin, I immediately called 911 and an ambulance transported her to a nearby hospital. They determined that she had a heart attack. That was the scariest ride while following that ambulance. She was life flighted to a larger hospital. This has been a very stressful week. I have stayed by her side at the hospital. After a stent procedure, she is now doing better. It was very scary for a while. How fragile life is! She should be released from the hospital by around Wednesday to go into a rehab facility to help strengthen her. I appreciate all my dear friends and family who have had us in your prayers. Thank you ever so much! This photo of my dear Mama and me was taken in Jackson, Tennessee on August 30, 2015. She is my "bestest" traveling buddy!
